Take 3 movement comes to Waterford

February 9, 2024

We were overwhelmed with the number of locals and their families who joined us to learn about how we can reduce plastic pollution and do more to protect our marine environment.

We had an incredible day on Friday, October 26 at St Aloysius Catholic Primary School, where Take 3 co-founder Tim Silverwood spoke to the entire school and then did a separate session with Year 5 students on the issue of plastic pollution and the message behind #Take3fortheSea.

On Friday evening we were joined by more than 130 Maitland locals at our exclusive screening and Q&A session of the award-winning documentary, Blue the Film, at Hoyts Green Hills.

Almost 40 locals turned out on Saturday, October 27 to help #Take3fortheSea at Maitland Park. Participants spent two hours collecting a staggering amount of waste from the park, with the clean-up session followed by a full waste audit and discussion with Tim Silverwood.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We certainly learned a lot and hope you did too. Be sure to check out the Waterford Facebook page for all the event day photos and don’t forget to tag yourself and your friends.
