New builders enter the Maitland property market at Waterford’s extended display village

February 6, 2024

New builders are entering the booming Maitland housing market at Waterford by AVID Property Group’s (AVID) display village extension, which is set to commence construction this month.

This includes 10 new homes from national builder Burbank Homes, Sydney builders Bellriver Homes and Masterton homes, and local Hunter Valley builders Candor Homes and Hunter Homes.

The display village extension will bring the total number of display homes to 32, featuring the latest in home designs from 14 builders and is expected to be completed and open to the public by June 2022.
AVID Project Director New South Wales Nathan Huon said he was excited to bring on board new builders which would support the increased levels of sales activity, and subsequent building activity, in the region.

“The last year has seen the property market surge since the HomeBuilder Grant and having more builders establishing themselves in Maitland will greatly help meet local building demand,” Mr Huon said.

August 2021 ABS data shows that private sector housing in New South Wales saw a seasonally adjusted seven percent increase in dwelling approval(1).

“The beauty of building a home – which is what attracts experienced and first home buyers alike – is that buyers can tailor a home to their needs and wants; and by exploring display villages they can build the best home for them,” Mr Huon said.

“When the extension is complete, visitors will be able to explore homes by all fourteen builders to find the right fit for them and, pending future lockdowns, enjoy the full display village experience.”

The extended display village will showcase new home designs to cater for a wide range of buyer preferences, whether that be upsizing a home for more space, downsizing to something low maintenance or having more storage options and entertaining space.

Bellriver Homes Regional Sales Manager Steve Briant said he was excited to join the many builders at the Waterford Display Village and work closely with AVID to bring new home designs and products to Chisholm.

“I’m really looking forward to having the Bellriver brand at the Waterford Display Village and to showcase two of our latest designs,” Mr Briant said.

“We’re a fresh brand to the Hunter region and this is our first opportunity to have two homes side-by-side and really showcase our designs specifically for land in Chisholm.

“For us it’s about providing a quality, affordable product, whilst still offering that flexible approach to design and styling.

“A one-on-one consultation in our display home is a fantastic experience but we’ve also really embraced the technological change that requires us to offer online and virtual consultation and still provide the immersive display home experience.”

The Waterford Display Village and Sales and Information Centre is located on 2 Settlers Boulevard, Chisholm, NSW 2322. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm by phone call or virtual appointment only during lockdown restrictions.
