Since 2012, the current site has stood dormant. In 2021, Revelop acquired the site and in consultation with Maitland City Council, Australia, commenced a total redesign together with BN Group Architects. After several months of the design evolution and multiple iterations, the development application was lodged with council in late 2021. Chisholm Village is circa 15,000m2, a state-of-the-art neighbourhood centre to include dual supermarket, 20+ speciality retailers, a swim school, gym, childcare facility, medical/allied health centre, as well as cafes, restaurants and a tavern.
